De tweede workshop van Buurtgerecht was een direct vervolg op de eerste. Nadat we vorige week koekontwerpen hadden gekleid, gingen we afgelopen maandag aan de slag met deeg. Het deeg werd door de jongeren zelf gemaakt. Een eitje meer of minder, maakte niet zoveel uit: het werden mooie deegballen.

Mijn man en ik wonen hier al heel lang, al 46 jaar. Hij was 27 en ik 30 toen wij hier gingen wonen. We hebben hier veel zien veranderen. Het is wel behoorlijk achteruit gegaan, dat mag je best weten, er is veel minder groen en het is nu veel lawaaïger door de vele auto’s.

Hoe zou jij het Spinozaplantsoen omschrijven?
Je hebt hier geen last van de mensen om je heen, maar er is ook weinig contact. Vroeger was het hier gezelliger. Er wonen nu veel jongelui, daar praat je wel eens even mee, maar dat is toch anders.

Wat heb je met kunst en cultuur?
Mijn man is boetseerder, ik maak schilderijen van gedroogde bloemen. We zijn dus allebei wel creatief. Door mijn  man ga ik wel eens mee naar exposities. Het mooist was die keer dat we op atelierbezoek gingen bij de Utrechtse beeldhouwer Pieter d’Hondt. Het had nog heel wat voeten in de aarde om daar langs te kunnen gaan.
